On Thursday August 11 at 5:30, Downtown Alive is presenting GIGI DOVER! Gigi has been one of my favorite singers for quite some time and I always try to see her when she hits town. Gigi is also appearing in Greenville on Wednesday August 24 at the Reedy River Nighttime series: we saw her play this last year and despite some technical problems and a missing drummer it was a great show. http://www.gigidover.com/

This Saturday August 6th at 7:00 at the world famous (?) Pumpkintown Mountain Opry Dinner and Show (http://www.pumpkintownmountain.com/) is The Drovers Old Time Medicine Show. I have known Ed, Scott and the band for close to 17 years. If you like Bluegrass done with humor and just enough weirdness (Saddle Riding!) to balance it out – these guys are great! In fact, I took my wife on our first date to a Drovers show at Prater’s Creek. At only $20 per person including the concert, and dinner with BBQ pork, chicken, all the fixings, and dessert you can’t find a better deal.
